The Chairmans Corner
By any standard, Newt Gingrich is one of the brightest visionaries in American politics today! His book, “Winning the Future” and his free weekly electronic newsletter are MUST reading for everyone interested in good government and a stronger America! I have it on good authority that four of our top five Republican candidates for President consult on a regular basis with Newt. Whether one is Conservative or Moderate, NEWT’S analyses are compelling, and are articulated with great clarity.
And Newt – well, not Newt Gingrich himself, but his “spokesperson” and key advisor Rick Tyler, held a Seminar for us on Thursday, September 6th, sharing with us how we in Delaware (and America) can “Win the Future”. 85 of our “best and brightest” activists, Party Leaders, and candidates attended. Comments included: “Wow”, “Terrific”, “Energizing”, “Encouraging”. It was excellent!
AND, to provide further perspective on “Framing a Winning Republican Agenda for Delaware”, we will be having the Speaker of the Florida House of Representatives, Marco Rubio, visit us in October/November. Marco is one of the most charismatic, articulate, attractive young Republicans in America today! (For a snapshot of his vision and leadership-style, please go to his website and follow the weekly progress of this long-range plan and commitment to improve the quality of life for all Floridians.) Details on date and location of Marco Rubio’s visit and seminar to follow.
GOPAC has also committed to hold one of their superb seminars for candidates and campaign leaders in Delaware-likely late in 2007.You may know that GOPAC was founded by our very own Governor Pete duPont in 1978, and since then has trained thousands of state and local candidates on the how, what, and when of campaigning.
GOPAC’s new Chairman, former Lt. Gov. Michael Steele (R-MD), has “stepped it up a notch”, and has selected Delaware as one of the States they will focus on for 2008.
GOPAC has committed to hold a seminar for our Delaware candidates and their campaign teams on “message, messaging and funding” of a campaign. That date is still in the works. Click here for more information.
